How to Install Computer Hardware

Installing computer hardware may seem to be a difficult task but once you know what to do it will be very easy process.

sSteps

  1. 1
Unplug all wires connected to the tower and if there is a power switch on the back switch it off.
  2. 2
Take out the screws on the back of the tower, take out the panel, then take out the motherboard tray.
  3. 3
Take the motherboard and screw it on to the motherboard tray then slide it back into the case.
  4. 4
Firmly insert RAM sticks into the long and narrow slots usually located at the top right of the motherboard.
  5. 5
Carefully place the CPU into the socket that is square shaped on the motherboard then place the CPU fan on top.
  6. 6
For video cards, look for a slot about the length of your middle finger and has very small lever. Take out the small case panel about the size of your finger on the back and firmly insert the card into the slot, make sure the back of the card comes outside.
    • For sound/network cards look for a slot similar to the video card slot, but slightly shorter and without the lever.
  7. 7
Slowly slide the hard drive into the hard drive bay usually located at the front of the tower then connected the cables from the back of the hard drive to the motherboard.
  8. 8
CD/DVD drives are similar to hard drives, just slide it into the bay at the top (right or left depending on the panel that was open) and connect the wires.
  9. 9
For audio devices match the colors and USB is pretty much self explanatory.
  10. 10
If you have a video card the back of it should be sticking outside which is where you connect the monitor cable to, unless there is no video card then you connect to the motherboard. Video cards now a days come with adapters for older monitors so make sure to connect the adapter to the back of the video card before plugging in the monitor.

FREE video downloader + converter

Hey, guys! I've been using this site for downloading videos and convert them into anything you like. IT'S FREE & SIMPLE!

1.) Select your location (just click "Rest of the world", they don't mind anyways.)

2.) Select the application of your choice.
Example:I want to watch the video on my phone (as a video) so I chose to convert it, or remain it as a video. (1st row, 2nd column)
You can download the video of your choice as an audio. (1st row, 1st column)

3.) Copy the URL of the chosen video...

and paste them in the provided space and hit the next button.

4.) Convert the video in any format you like then hit the next button.
Example: Like I have mentioned, I want to watch it on my phone so I'll convert it as 3GP since it is the only compatible format I have in my phone.

5.) BE PATIENT.
Don't mess with the advertisements, they're annoying.

6.) Once the file is successfully converted, click the "save us" button...

AND BE PATIENT.

That's all! Hope this helps you.
WARNING:
It usually works on Youtube links, Not so much with the Dailymotion, and I'm not sure with the other players like filenuke, gorillavid, putlocker, etc.

Extract .iso to thumb drive (saving disc...save the world)

It used to be a case which I always extract the .iso image to a disc (cd ,dvd). Thanks to chaiwat Rujimethaphas who recommend me this software.

http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm

When you call the program, you'll get the "MagicISO virtual cd/dvd manager" in the notification area. Right click to "mount" the iso file. You'll see the content of the iso file. Copy the file to anywhere instead of a disc only. ^^

pdf to word (esp. image pdf...foreign language)

When you need to convert a pdf file to a word document, just type online pdf to word in google. Choose the one that allows you to donwload your destination file right away. (Well, your choice is up to your preference. I'm just saying that because I do not want to wait for email, etc. Of course, my only other requirement is that it's free!)

In case your pdf turns out to be created from an image (the pdf was scan as a picture and converted into pdf), you need ocr pdf.

Here are what I found from google.

easiest way for backup?

Reflect (free) by Macrium

http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

How often you wish you can easily backup your data? The program will update your backup only the changes. All you need is

1. install the program.
2. create a profile (e.g. one directory per profile).
3. run the profile.

On your next use...

4. run the profile.

One tip, though, is that I usually prefer to confirm that the profile is "keep the file if not found on source". i.e. if you accidentally delete a file you still need to keep, the backup copy will not be deleted when you perform the backup.

Of course, the backup looks just like a regular directory on another drive. You can copy it back anytime. My personal thought is that I prefer to keep those I delete because I only keep current files on my present drive. My backup is like an archive.

Spiltting .zip by winzip

I ran into a situation where gmail does not allow me to have any attachment larger than 25MB. It recommended me to use (google) drive instead.

Because some of my recipient does not use gmail, I waste a lot of time recalling what are my options.

Winrar only performs the split for .rar, so does .7p for 7zip. I, thus, have to go back to Winzip. I totally forgot that the extension of the remaining zip files are not .zip but .zXX where XX is the sequence of the split.

Now you know what to do when you need to split a file or a folder.

Removing image white space

If you need to remove white space of an image (crop only the image w/o any background), try paint.net

http://www.getpaint.net/

(Image used for conveying the idea only from http://www.technologo.com/marketing/vsample-basic)

Some discussions on the technique.

Is there any tool that allow this operation in one click?
